Spring Apparel Guide

Well folks, it has been a long Winter, but Spring has finally arrived! And with it comes new apparel! With temperatures changing drastically throughout the week, Spring is a great time to consider layering for both your short and long runs. A few NRC employees picked out their favorite new items that have arrived.

Christa Poremba

Jacket: Craft's Focus Hood Jacket
Top: Oiselle's Gwen Tank
Bra: Oiselle's Verrazano Bra
Bottom: Oiselle's Distance Short

Christa is modeling an outfit by Oiselle and Craft. The Gwen tank is form fitting and perfect for layering. Christa is also wearing her favorite pair of shorts, the Distance short. This season, all of Oiselle's clothing is transferring over to numerical sizing. The sizes are as following: 2= extra-small, 4= small, 6= medium, 8= large, and 10= extra-large. The ongoing theme for Oiselle's spring line is simple geometric prints, as can be seen on the Distance short above. Christa opted for the Focus Hood Jacket because of how light weight it is. For morning runs when the temperatures start off cool, this extra layer can easily be shed or tied to her waist.

Jackson Dugger

Top: Craft's Cool Sublimated Short Sleeve Tee
Bottom: Craft's Run Relaxed 2 in 1 short
Hydration Pack: Ultimate Direction's SJ Ultra Vest

Jackson chose an outfit by Craft because of the light weight breathability of their Spring line. The Craft Sublimated tee has a sublimated design dyed into the fabric so that the shirt can be as light weight as possible. The back of the shirt also has a hole to loop your headphones through to ensure the cords don't bounce while running. The shorts he chose have compression shorts underneath that is hidden by the outer layer. Jackson is also wearing a hydration pack, which is perfect for anyone training for longer runs. If you are training for shorter races, however, we also carry a line of hand held water bottles to ensure you stay hydrated.

Ashley Carney

Top: Craft's Cool Seamless Sweatshirt
Bra: Moving Comfort's Switch it Up Racer
Bottom: Pearl Izumi's Flash Three-Quarter Tight

Ashley's outfit matches the season of Spring. Her top and tights are an in-between length, just like Spring is a mixture of the coldness of Winter and the warmth of summer. Three-quarter is an easy way to dress when temperatures change so drastically throughout the week. Her top by Craft has body-mapping to ensure that certain areas don't get over heated. The Pearl-Izumi tights also have ventilation behind the knees which make them breathable in our humid climate.

Stop by the store to try on any of these outfits above, we'll point you in the right direction. You can mix and match with the other new Spring arrivals and make an outfit that is unique to you and your training needs!
