The final workout of our free eight-week program designed to prepare anyone to run the Tom King 5K on March 8th.
Our plan is built especially for those of you who have never run before or are looking to dust off your sneakers after a long hiatus! This program is designed to help those who have yet to find the motivation to commit to a training program!
During the 8-week program, beginning on January 14th, we will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. at Nashville Running Company (located at 1105 Woodland St) AND Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. in Shelby Park next to the Nature Center. It’s encouraged that you make every workout – the more consistent you are, the more successful you will be!!!
During the course of 24 workouts, participants will progress from walk/runs to run/walks to steady running. Most workouts will only last between 30 and 45 minutes and we will celebrate our success by running a 5K …without walking!
