We're excited to announce...THE SEWANEE SLAMMER...coming October 19th!

Race the 20-mile loop of the gorgeous Perimeter Trail through the University of theSouth and atop the bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau. Pass beautiful overlooks, geologic features, lakes and ponds, and loads of upland deciduous forest. Elevation gain is 2,385 feet with one large climb from mile 18-18.6!

The start/finish will be at the Mountain Goat Visitor Center in the Sewanee Village and we'll head clockwise around Perimeter! Parking will be at the Visitor Center as well as grassy areas behind the Visitor Center. There will be THREE aid stations (mile 5.3, mile 10.5, and 14.06) with...

10% of the race proceeds will go back to the Perimeter Trail Fund

Post race hang...once you've worked up your appetite and thirst after finishing and cheering on other runners, please make your way across the street to Shenanigans for a bite and brew (discount on beer for runners)!

We're excited to partner with some of our vendors - HOKA, Feetures and Huma - and swag will be awarded to the winners!


The race starts and finishes at the Mountain Goat Visitor Center (35°11'41.0"N 85°55'01.1"W) - catty corner from Shenanigans.

Race shirts are guaranteed to those who sign up by Sept 27th. (race tees are a cotton blend lifestyle T and are UNISEX sizes) That will allow us to receive them in a timely manner so you'll have at packet pickup/race day.
